VERTICAL TROLLING ROD GROUPER HUNTER 400GR

The name of this rod is Grouper Hunter or Grouper Hunter. It was born precisely from the need to have a spinning rod to be used in vertical techniques in the specific search of imposing predators such as groupers, large snappers or sea crabs. It contains in a single object the characteristics that a rod must have to counteract the excessive power of these fish. A "hybrid" rod that combines the peculiarities of a jigging, trolling and slow rod at the same time. It is not short like a jigging rod nor long like a trolling or slow rod, it is in fact 183cm long, the right lever to be fast in the strike and safe in the fight. It has a few centimeters more than a jigging rod to have a tip that is not too rigid but not excessively sensitive so as to be able to animate our artificial or natural bait well, even of generous dimensions. The rod is a blank that handles baits up to 400g (and more) well, therefore particularly suitable for using the Vertical Trolling Grouper (the 300g and 400g bait driver for octopus baiting) or large balls baited with live or dead natural bait or even heavy silicone baits weighing 200 grams or more which sometimes put the puny slow rods to shame. It has the resistance of a trolling rod but does not weigh as much as a trolling rod so it can also be used with the rod in hand. It took production to reach its definitive start after 10 months of testing on various prototypes made from time to time in China and subsequently tested in Italy by Filippo Anelli. Something was changed for each prototype (weight, rings, power, length, details) and final approval was then reached.

The Grouper Hunter has 9 Fuji guides and Fuji reel seat (rotating). It weighs 326g, has a max drag of 20kg. The diameter of the blank section at the tip is 3.5mm and at the base of the reel seat is 11.5mm. Its color is dark red in honor of the Vertical Trolling Grouper, the octopus bait driver that made the brand famous.
