Concept and Design
The Janas is a sinking lipless pencil bait and belongs to that category of lures that has had a recent and interesting evolution as they allow the fisherman to animate them at will according to the circumstances. Thanks to its technical characteristics it can be cast very far, becoming the eclectic lure par excellence. the Janas, which in Sardinian dialect means "fairy", seems to dance in the water when a regular recovery alternates, in which the lure performs a slalom action, with pauses in the recovery in which it develops an immediate roll that creates large glare as it falls freely to the bottom or into the current. Valid against any predator both in the sea and in fresh water, it is particularly recommended in the sea against dolphin fish and in the mangle of small and medium-sized tunnids such as mackerel, lanzardi, bonito, tombarelli and alletterati, while in fresh water it is recommended. for trout, perch, asp, chub. The standard equipment includes the use of two 2X # 8 treble hooks but single hooks from the Gamu # 1 series can also be used.
Action
Slow recovery: slalom
Regular and fast recovery: slalom & rolling
"Flutter" recovery: if you let the Janas fall freely in current, the lure produces a strong roll, emitting large flashes.
"Jerk" recovery: To stimulate the aggression of the fish it is recommended to give strong accelerations with the rod in single or multiple sequence, so as to force the lure to make wide skids. Interval the jerks with prolonged pauses to allow the lure its "flutter" action.
