Unlike most jig heads on the market, the Deeper weighs 450g. This allows you to troll a natural bait — alive or dead — vertically, making it ideal for the Vertical Trolling technique.

Shape:
It’s not round like most jig heads — it has a hydrodynamic shape specifically designed for trolling. Its unique profile allows it to "wobble" naturally, giving the bait a more lifelike action, unlike traditional jig heads that require constant motion to stay animated.

Use:
Primarily designed for Vertical Trolling, the Deeper can also be used in traditional vertical jigging with lifts, drops, and jerks. Additionally, it’s highly effective as a weight for deep bottom fishing (bolentino di profondità), armed with natural bait to target deep-sea species such as groupers, red porgies, scorpionfish, and bigeye bream.

Project:
Born from the need for a heavier bait driver suitable for trolling with squid/cuttlefish/flying squid — something the market lacked. After several tests using weighted jig heads, it became clear that fish don’t hesitate to strike this kind of rig, leading to the final product. Those already practicing Grouper Vertical Trolling can pair the Deeper on a second rod to target dentex, which are especially attracted to these setups.
