ITALCANNA ZEFIRO 12LB

The ZEFIRO is a new generation rod for live fishing and more, which could be defined as “Smart” intelligent.

In the design of this rod we have in fact taken into account various factors, which required many prototypes and field tests to arrive at the definitive version that you find on the market today. In fact, when we create something new we are always very demanding and if we have to add a new model to our collection it must have something special ... This new rod therefore had to have more than one dowry:

- that it was able to handle all the most commonly used leads with live 400-750g and with a little attention even something more
- that it had a fun and exciting action on small prey but, if necessary, able to manage and complete a fight even on a super 30kg amberjack (and we can assure you that it has already done so ...)
- that this powerful back had further reserve to force again in the case of prey that tend to entangle (see groupers) or in any case fishing in difficult places with the presence of obstacles where the fish once hooked could get stuck.
- a tip action that always tends to apply a certain force, so that even if a tuna happens (which is always possible when trolling) it is able to tire it.
- a "right" power to ensure that the fish strike is effective, giving the sensation of a well given via ferrata: dry and clean. And this is one of the aspects that required the most attention in the design, finding the ideal compromise between the parabolic and peak action.
- that it could also manage thin lines (to undermine increasingly suspicious prey) and this thanks to a progressive, gradual, never abrupt elasticity.
- be easily transportable, therefore removable from the stock in a reliable and stable way
- Reel seat capable of handling even small reels such as the Gladiator CUB20
- Fuji Fazlite guides slightly larger than normal to allow easy passage of knots and joints, but also for use with braided lines.

We believe with this model that we have met all these needs, even if it was not easy.
In our opinion, with the Zefiro the concept of classification in pounds of the rod is almost exceeded. If we really have to define it we can think of it as a 12 lbs but it is still a multipurpose rod, a single rod can have different uses with obvious economic advantage.
But nothing has been left to chance in this model, starting with the length: 215 cm ideal measure to distance the line from the boat in case of obstacles in the stern, but excellent for the simultaneous use of two rods where this length further distances the two. lines to avoid snagging. Also ideal on dinghies perhaps with rod holders near the driver's seat, in this case it will be easy, given the length, to raise and lower the guardian lead. The fight will be easy and natural. Very light and balanced thanks to the use of latest generation materials, so much so that you don't mind fishing with rod in hand, and where fishing will be really very pleasant. Sophisticated and innovative look but at the same time sober.
The Acid type frame has been designed at the table for a perfect management of the line and to minimize the stress on it, ligatures with the "Double Force Italcanna" system. Further features are Extralight handle with diameter designed for easy extraction on all common rod holders, metal crosspiece, CompositeBond reel seat fixing and a new locking system on the exclusive Italcanna blank.
