VERTICAL TROLLING ROD GROUPER HUNTER 400GR (FISSO)

The name of this rod is Grouper Hunter or Grouper Hunter. It was born from the need to have a spinning rod to be used in vertical techniques in the specific search for imposing predators such as groupers, large dentex or sea bream. It contains in a single object the characteristics that a rod must have to counter the excessive power of these fish. A "hybrid" rod that brings together the peculiarities of a jigging, trolling and slow rod at the same time. It is not short like a jigging rod nor long like a trolling or slow rod, it is in fact 183cm long, a right lever to be quick in the strike and safe in the fight. It has a few centimeters more than a jigging rod to have a tip that is not too rigid but not excessively sensitive so as to be able to animate well our artificial or natural bait even of generous dimensions. The rod is a blank that handles baits up to 400gr (and more) well, therefore particularly suitable for using the Vertical Trolling Grouper (the bait driver for octopus bait) or large balls baited with live or dead natural baits or even heavy silicone baits of 200 grams and more that sometimes put the frail slow rod in difficulty. It has the resistance of a trolling rod but does not weigh as much as a trolling rod, therefore it can also be used with the rod in hand. Production took 10 months to reach its definitive start-up, on various prototypes made from time to time in China and subsequently tested in Italy by Filippo Anelli. Something was modified for each prototype (weight, rings, power, length, details), and so the final approval was reached.

The Grouper Hunter fixed model has 8 Fuji rings and a Fuji reel seat (fixed). It weighs 326gr, has a max drag of 22kg. The diameter of the blank section at the tip is 3.5mm and at the base of the reel seat is 11.5mm. Its color is dark red in honor of the Vertical Trolling Grouper, the bait driver for octopus bait that made the brand famous.
