The AIRDRIVE revolution now embraces one of Daiwa’s most beloved reels. More modern, more effective, more beautiful.

The new Caldia takes the traits that made it famous—ultra-light weight, high build quality, and a sober, elegant style—and elevates them further. The Monocoque ZAION V body remains, but every AIRDRIVE DESIGN innovation has been added: rotor, spool, bail arm, and line roller are all redesigned. The drag is now the silky-smooth ATD-L, which cushions the first run of the fish then stiffens to hold big breaks. The new 5000 models (a first for Caldia) feature the more powerful ATD Tough carbon-disc drag for battling larger prey.

A new ZAION V rotor, more symmetrical and balanced, minimizes weight and rotational inertia.

AIRDRIVE BAIL
A next-gen, super-light, ultra-strong solid bail arm. Paired with the Twist Buster 3 roller, it smooths line flow and drastically cuts tangles.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL
A redesigned, lighter spool engineered for maximal line exit and tangle-free retrieval thanks to its reprofiled bottom lip.
