The Saltiga G is the evolution of Daiwa's famous series of reels, Made in Japan, designed for Big Game saltwater fishing.

Large pelagic predators require reels that provide substantial power reserves during retrieval while also being extremely robust to withstand the intense stresses they are subjected to.

For this reason, the new Saltiga G has been built with an all-aluminum Monocoque Body frame, further optimized to house larger gears than in the past. The rotor, with its exclusive Air Rotor design, is also made entirely of aluminum.

To protect the internal mechanics from water, salt, and debris, Magsealed technology has been extensively used. Originally developed by NASA for space conduits, this technology is based on a membrane of magnetized oil and in the Saltiga G protects both the body and, through two special bearings, the main gear.

The new Saltiga G features significantly improved finishes, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality, thanks to a new paint system that enhances resistance to salt corrosion and wear.
