SCREW, due to its long shape, swims best when given a firm jerk and can also be used with a high pitch rod; falls unevenly and is fast. Screw is mainly used for its sliding properties and horizontal movement. Screw has a slender body that cuts through the water. On quick lifts (firm jerk), it glides to the side in a slightly energetic motion which is very attractive to good swimming fish. Focus on lifting each pitch with good intervals between them. Screw can slide for quite a long time, followed by its natural falling action. It is important not to interfere with its natural movement. Consider that the movements are more horizontal, it can stay at the same depth for longer. When the fish is not active, you may be able to awaken it with the energetic movements of this jig. It works well in strong currents and also in complex currents. It works much better when the current goes over the knot and more, well even when the currents are layered. Screw is always the solution when conditions change for the worse.
