The Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is a mid-range, fast action, long range surf rod that combines a high quality carbon blank with quality tip fittings and powerful casting performance. Combining the convenience of a telescopic construction, with a powerful long range casting action, the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic sits at the heart of the Shimano Tele surf range and offers a fantastic combination of high performance and value. Designed with an extra fast tip action, this great looking range of rods allow you to really harness the power when you need longer distance, yet still retain the sensitivity to show bites from smaller fish when using an approach with light line. The casting power of the Speedmaster is generated by the use of High Modulus Full Carbon, combined with the Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. This combination generates a remarkable top speed, which you will definitely notice when weight casting towards the higher end of the casting rating or when facing high winds. The stunning blue blank features stainless steel Fuji Fazlite K-type guides which are corrosion resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you use braid, you'll be happy to know that the guides' Fazlite liners are also braid-safe. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits snugly into the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your bottom hand when casting. Available in three options (4.30m - 170g, 4.50m -- 170g, 4.50m - 200g), the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is the ideal rod for smaller species where casting power combined with sensitivity is needed.
